Dr. William E. (Bill) Brown has served as President at two Christ-centered universities. After serving as a faculty member and Academic Vice President for nine years, Dr. Brown became President of Bryan College. Under his leadership, Bryan grew steadily and a new campus was developed including the construction of Student Center and a Library. Bryan also added academic programs and expanded into new areas of cultural engagement including the development of its flagship Biblical Worldview program.
Dr. Brown then moved to Cedarville University which grew to almost 3,400 students. A number of professional programs were developed, including a doctoral program in Pharmacy and master’s programs in Business, Nursing and Ministry. The university annually raised over $6 million on average and built two significant buildings, The Center for Biblical and Theological Studies and the state-of-the-art Health Science Center
Dr. Brown has written over one hundred articles for journals, magazines, newspapers and encyclopedias. He is the author of Making Sense of Your Faith, Where Have All the Dreamers Gone? Observations from a Biblical Worldview, and Making Sense of Your World, a book used by many colleges and universities as an introductory text to worldview/philosophical thinking. His writings have been quoted in various national newspapers and magazines, including Reader’s Digest and Christianity Today. He wrote over fifty articles and notes for the Impact: Student Leadership Study Bible. He serves as an editor for philosophy textbooks and ethics curriculum. He is the Executive Producer and teacher of the multiple award-winning DVD series, re:View.
